Our Organization
Find out how we came to be, why we organized, and our intended path forward. With a diverse Board and a determined founder, we’re unwilling to accept the continued decline of Florida’s greatest river.
-
Why Now?
The St. Johns River represents one of the last remaining wild corridors in central Florida, yet fish and wildlife habitat continues to decline. Management practices remain unchanged. We need to address the problems NOW, before it’s too late.

Had enough of the same old routine? Tired of watching Florida’s greatest freshwater resource decline, with no apparent plan in place? Ready for a healthier, more productive St. Johns River? Join us in the fight.

What happened to the Mighty St. Johns?
Declining water quality, catastrophic weather events, exotic species, mismanagement using antiquated methods; all have contributed to a general decline in fish and wildlife habitat on the St. Johns River.
Continued collapse of submerged aquatic vegetation (SAV) and the lowest gamefish numbers on record illustrate a system out of balance, and one deserving greater attention from our resource managers.
